For the first time ever on DVD, "Dick York's Wardrobe" gathers together all twelve of the band's videos from the extraordinary year of '92, plus a brilliant cover version of Elton John's hit "Step Into Christmas." Formed in Leeds in 1984, the Wedding Present have been nothing if not prolific with both releases and labels, with some 36 singles, 8 studio albums and 6 record labels thus far. Early independent singles success was accompanied by support and many sessions on the John Peel Show in the UK, followed by their first album which was critically acclaimed - and the band signed their first major record company deal with their own choice of producers and singles stipulated in 1989. No fewer than 17 singles and 2 albums were released from this RCA deal. In 1992, instead of releasing a new album, the band decided to release a single on the first Monday of each month, all of which were limited pressings and all of which charted in the Top 30, equaling Elvis Presley's record of the most Top 30 UK hits in a year. This DVD proudly documents that year.
