Rockabilia’s Charitable Contributions

Here at Rockabilia, we love to give, and we love to help.

Last year alone, we donated well over 1,100 brand new hooded sweatshirts and T-shirts to one of our favorite local non-profit organizations: Simpson Housing Services in Minneapolis. Simpson’s mission is to house, support and advocate for people experiencing homelessness. Unfortunately, the individuals that Simpson supports, typically don’t have access to new clothing. So it was obvious to us that we just had to help. If we can provide the less fortunate members of our community with warm clothing to get through the brutal Minnesota Winters, you betcha we’re going to step up to the plate!

Now, it’s no surprise that the Coronavirus Pandemic has completely upended the world and forever changed life as we know it. When the CDC recently recommended that regular citizens should wear face masks in public, and knowing that both masks and the supplies to make them are in short supply, we again asked ourselves: “how can we help?” That’s when we heard about the Steller Kindness Project. Founder Katie Steller’s motto is simple, and it says it all: “Let’s Show Up. Let’s Be Kind.” Honestly, we couldn’t agree more. After being introduced to Katie and discovering that her Mom Julie is hand-making masks to meet the much-needed demand, we immediately donated some T-shirts for her and the rest of the Steller Handcrafted Goods team. They have been repurposing the material of our shirts into mask ties for their tied face masks. Each T-shirt alone can produce up to 15 mask ties! Check it out:
